Job Description
Job Title: VP Finance
Summary: Accountable for directing bank financial functions to measure and forecast metrics, develop, and lead execution on improving financial results, maximize profits, drive continuous process improvement, and ensure integrity of financial records. Aligns financial operations of the bank with short- and long-term actions to manage and respond to emerging realities of the industry and trends. Creates profitable and sustainable growth.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

- Works closely with the CFO to create a culture of best practices in the finance department that are clearly aligned with regulatory requirements, profitability, continuous improvement, and organizational values
- Prepares all board and management reporting for the bank, lines of businesses and subsidiaries.
- Manages liquidity, interest rate risk, and investment portfolio including developing, recommending, and executing strategies.
- Responsible for the management Asset Liability Committee, implementing best practices and monitoring and measuring the impact of future/potential regulatory changes and the evolving regulatory and industry environment.
- Develops annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term plans and strategies with CFO and department leaders to maximize profits in a manner consistent with the best interests of the bank, ownership, customers, and associates.
- Development, analysis, and interpretation of finance and accounting information to accurately and timely assess, interpret results, disseminate information, and develop strategies for improvement for the bank, lines of businesses and subsidiaries.
- Direct, develop, and mentor department leads to exceed operational and financial goals.
- Champions organizational development strategies to create a positive work environment throughout the organization, associate engagement, and the highest levels of associate and customer satisfaction.
- Develops excellence in areas managed through coaching and development, education, and training of other associates, and recruits and retains top talent within the department.
- Follow all applicable laws and bank regulations
- Carries out responsibilities with professionalism, respect for others, in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
- Any other duties as assigned.

Supervises: Finance Lead with 2 Financial Analysts, Data Analysts
Qualifications:
Education:
- 7+ years' experience in finance/accounting with an emphasis on financial institutions and/or audit experience
Required Knowledge/Skills:
- Strategic planning experience
- Experience developing and executing departmental budgets
- Development and implementation of training programs for employees
- Four-year degree in Accounting or Finance
- High proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data mining as well as the ability to learn new applications quickly
- Supervisory experience
